FIN VARUGHESE
Lead Pastor
Mineola Campus

Finney K. Varughese, born and raised in Queens, NY, felt a calling to ministry and preaching the gospel at the age of 7, inspired by his grandfather's sermons in Richmond Hill, Queens.

Entering youth ministry in 1996, he served as the Youth Director of Shalem Pentecostal Tabernacle, concurrently initiating the N.D.I.A (New Deliverance in America) evangelistic team under the Christian label Inner Soul Records in 1997. From 1997-2006, Fin traveled extensively across the U.S and internationally as a spoken word minister and youth preacher, reaching young people of diverse religious backgrounds and participating in short-term missions in Africa and South America.

Ordained into pastoral ministry in 2008, Fin served as Youth Pastor at Gateway World Christian Center until 2015, after which he contributed to the Hope Church NYC church planting movement by establishing Hope Church Long Island, where he served as Lead Pastor until 2020. Following the unification of Hope Church Long Island with Edge City Church in 2020, Fin assumed the role of Lead Pastor at the Mineola location.

A graduate of Nyack College and Liberty University, Fin holds a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling and a BA in Religion, currently pursuing a doctorate degree. Outside of ministry, he enjoys reading, studying history, spending time with his family, and supporting his favorite sports teams. Additionally, he confesses to being a terrible cook, an author of no books, and having a penchant for movies about existential threats to humanity.

Fin is married to his wife Bindu, and together they have three daughters, Milan, Karis, and Zoe. They currently reside in New Hyde Park, NY.
